New, existing or previous OGHA parents/players are required to follow the instructions, and provide electronic signatures for the players and volunteers.

Registration Fees for FUNdamentals (All Ages Welcome)

The registration fee for this program is TBD. With the current COVID-19 restrictions, the OGHA is looking to provide one-two ice times per weekend for our FUNdamentals program at a central Ottawa arena. Examples include McNabb Arena or Carleton Ice House. This program will begin around mid-September and finish the weekend prior to Ontario's school March Break.  The program does not run on Thanksgiving weekend, during Christmas break or on Ontario's Family Day weekend.

Registration Fees for House League players - to be Revised

The registration fee for house league players is $825 (see fees for full-time goalies below) and must be paid in full by October 15.  There is a $50 early bird discount if fees are paid in full by July 1. On October 16, the registration fee will increase to $925. Players who have not paid in full by October 31 and have not committed to an alternate payment schedule with the OGHA treasurer will be removed from their teams.  Although the OGHA only receives its ice allocation in mid-July, we do our best to provide teams with mostly standardized weekend ice times.  The OGHA has no control over the game scheduling and this can occur at anytime during the week.

  • The fee for April/May tryouts is $125.
  • The fee for September tryouts is $100.
  • An additional fee of 30$ will apply to those who require an OGHA tryout jersey.

Note: Players who tryout in the spring but are not selected for a team do not pay additional fees to continue in competitive team tryouts in the fall.

There is no refund of tryout fees to players who attend a tryout for a competitive team.  If a player withdraws from tryouts after registering but prior to attending, the registration fee will be refunded minus a $50 administration fee.  To withdraw from tryouts and request a refund of the registration fee, please contact the Registrar.

Registration Fees for Full-time Goalies - to be Revised

The registration fee for all full-time goalies is $500 and must be paid in full by October 15.  A 50$ early bird discount is applied if fees are paid in full by July 1.  This fee structure intended to help the OGHA build it’s current pool of goalies as they are an integral part of the team and the sport of hockey.  Included in the fee are ten free goalie training sessions.

Additional Team Fees

Families should be aware that all players will be asked to pay team fees in addition to their registration fee to cover the cost of tournaments, additional ice rental costs and other team expenses.

Recruiting Incentive

Any family who is successful in recruiting new players to the OGHA will receive a 100$ “find-a-friend” credit.  Once you have registered your daughter for the season please identify to the Treasurer and Registrar the family name of the recruited member. When that family registers for the season, the association will apply the credit to your family account.

Fee Matching (Boys and Ringette)

For any player who is coming to the OGHA from either boys hockey or ringette, for their first year only, the association will price match the previous association's registration fee.  If this applies to you please send the Treasurer and Registrar an email highlighting what association you are coming from and what your fees would have been for the season.  The association will apply the credit to your family account.

Requesting a Release from the OGHA

If a member requires a release from the OGHA for any reason (eg: aging out, moving, etc), please send your request to registar@ogha.info, along with an email from your team manager confirming that you have returned your jerseys (Lady 67s are exempt) and your family has no outstanding team fees.  The request will not be processed until this confirmation is received.
