2010-2011 Regular Season
Registration for the 2009-2010 Regular Season is now open. For more
information on our House League and Competitive Programs, read About
Us. Remember the $50 early
registration discount and the ability to guarantee a spot as a returning player,
are only available up until May 15th. Last year, we
had several age levels with waiting lists, don't be disappointed next fall,
register now!
Returning Player: Was registered with the OGHA for the 2009-2010 season.
OGHA returning players who register by May 15, 2010
will be guaranteed a spot (where numbers warrant and depending on total
registration numbers at the various age groups and the ice times available). New
and former players are placed on the waiting list in order of date and time the
online registration was submitted. Returning players who submit their
registrations after May 15, 2010 will be
placed on the waiting list with new players in order of date and time the online
registration was submitted.
Former Player: Was registered with the OGHA for a season other than
the 2009-2010 season -- considered a "New Player" for 2010-2011
registration purposes.
New Player: Was never registered with the OGHA for any season.
Registration Fees
Unfortunately the registration fees for 10/11 have increased considerably due
in part to an increase in ice costs, an increase in OWHA registration fees, and
an anticipated increase in league fees. However, the largest factor causing the
increase in registration fees is the introduction of the HST, this will add 8%
to many of our expenses, including our largest expense -- the purchase of ice.
We continue to offer several discounts; early registration discount, sibling
discount and a discount to goalies who have their own equipment. As well, we
continue to offer the option to pay registration fees in installments, and new
this year, there is no additional charge to pay your registration fee online via
Paypal or by credit card.
Registration fees for both House League and Competitive teams are identical,
with several discounts available. The registration fees include the ice costs
for a base number of hours of practice ice and league game ice. Once the teams
are formed, individual team fees will be set depending on the number of players
on the team, number of tournaments entered and amount of extra ice purchased for
exhibition games and additional practices (usually only competitive teams
purchase extra ice). For more information on team fees, check About
Us.
2010-2011 Registration fee: $725.00 (FUNdamentals program is $425.00, see
discount listed below)
Early registration discount $50.00 (by May 15, 2010)
available to returning and new players
Goalies with all their own equipment discount $50.00
Family discount if more than one OGHA player $25.00 (per player)
FUNdamentals program (age 5-6) $725.00 - $300.00 discount = $425.00

2010 Competitive
Midget AA Tryouts
Online registration is now available for the OGHA spring Midget AA tryouts. Players
MUST be registered online in order to be eligible for the tryouts. AA
tryouts are OPEN and therefore players do not have to be OGHA players in
order to tryout, however, players from other girls' associations, must
provide Permission Skate forms from their home association.
The tryouts will be held in May (1, 7, 8 & 9) to determine if there is
sufficient interest and skill level to field a Midget AA team. If so, some
players will be offered spots immediately following the May tryouts and the
remainder of the team will be chosen at the August tryouts. If there is not
sufficient interest and skill level, we will be fielding a Midget A team and the
tryouts will be held in August. Players who pay for the May tryouts will NOT
be required to pay again for the August tryouts.
Cost of the tryouts is $70.00 plus $20.00 for an OGHA tryout jersey.
If the player has an OGHA tryout jersey from a previous tryout, they are welcome
to use that jersey for 2010 tryouts. All players are guaranteed 4 hours of ice time during the tryout sessions.
The tryout schedule is currently posted on the OGHA website. Click on the
yellow 'Schedules' tab near the top of the home page. Be sure to choose '2010
Tryouts' in the Program drop-down box which currently shows 2009-2010.
