Online registration for the Summer Hockey Program is now available. Summer Hockey will run 12 weeks from May 27 to August 26, there will be no sessions on the July 1st and August 4th long weekends. The cost of the program is $200 if the player is currently Hockey Canada insured. If the player is new to hockey, there will be an additional $35 insurance fee. The Summer Program sessions are 50 minutes in length and will consist of a few warm up drills followed by scrimmage/shinny type games. Players will be placed in groups based on age and skill level. Depending on registration numbers, not all levels may be offered. All players will be placed on a waiting list until such time as it is determined that the level is viable. If a level is not offered, players will receive full refunds.

All tryout participants must have an OGHA tryout jersey, which will be available at the tryout check-in desk for $20. Players who have OGHA tryout jerseys from previous tryouts may wear them or purchase a new one.

The OGHA is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Nellis as the Bantam AA head coach and Claudio Colaiacovo as the Midget A/AA head coach for the 2012-2013 season. We are looking forward to the tryouts beginning in early May, schedules will be posted soon.

Congratulations to the participants in the ODWHA competitive league championships on Saturday. Atom AA & Intermediate A came away as league champions, earning gold medals with their 4-3 and 2-1 victories respectively over Nepean teams, and Bantam B earned a silver medal in a close 2-1 loss to Carleton Place. Well done players and coaches you did the OGHA proud! Thank you to all of the OGHA volunteers from Atom AA, Peewee A, B & C, Bantam AA & B, Midget C & Intermediate A who helped us fulfill our commitment as 'hosts' of this year's ODWHA league championships! And finally, last but not least, a huge THANK YOU to the ODWHA for organizing another great championship day - you certainly know how to celebrate girls' hockey!

Congratulations to the 3 OGHA teams who played in the MOGHL house league city championships on Sunday. All 3 teams, Atom 1, Bantam 3 & Midget 1 came away with GOLD medals as CITY CHAMPIONS in their divisions! Well done players and coaches, you did the OGHA proud!

All OGHA members are encouraged to come out and cheer on the teams. Competitive championships will be held on Saturday, March 31st at North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville. The House League championships will be held on Sunday, April 1st at Carleton University.
